Anatoki Salmon, in Golden Bay, is set in tranquil surroundings with the sound of the river and native birds all around. It's a great place to relax and there is plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. At Anatoki Salmon everyone is able to savour the fresh flavour of their catch, straight from the pristine clarity of one of New Zealand's steepest rivers - the mythical Anatoki.

While your freshly caught salmon is gently smoked or grilled to perfection, take the time to relax at the picnic tables and soak up the atmosphere. Our 'Lake Anatoki' is bordered by beautiful native bush adjoining the Anatoki River and the Kahurangi National Park, providing a tranquil environment for fishing and picnicking.

Where else can you bring your own picnic gear and have such a wonderful time? Whether you spend an hour or the entire day at Anatoki Salmon, family and friends will enjoy a fishing experience like no other.

Anatoki Salmon can also vacuum pack your catch of the day and put it on ice so you may take it home. The memories of a fabulous day fishing will come back when you take the first bite!

There is no charge for entering the salmon farm or for using our fishing gear. You only pay for what you catch.

Have your catch hot smoked or grilled in just 10 minutes and accompany your dish with salad or garlic bread, drinks or coffee. On request they will prepare your salmon as sashime.

• Educational for All: see the Salmon at different ages and stages of growth, watch salmon being processed or smoked.
• Short Walks: along the bush shaded track beside the intake canal and see trout in their natural habitat.
• Picnic Sites: come and enjoy a picnic, be it by yourself or with the family, at one of our picnic sites around the lake or in our cosy yurt.
• Swimming Hole: bring your swimming gear and swim in the Anatoki's pristine clear waters.
