Combat Zone was established late in 2006. It is a most beautiful piece of land just 7kms from Whitianga township. The lovely Kaimarama River runs through the property with several water holes along the way. The back drop of native bush is absolutely beautiful and Nikau Palms are plentiful. Wood Pigeon’s, Tui’s and Fantails are seen and heard daily.

Combat Zone’s "Bush Battles" paintball field is situated across the river in a portion of our forestry block with regenerating native bush and plenty of hiding places, tracks, and even a natural “trench”. Many players like to sneak along the river’s edge which creates one boundary. The other area is the "Trench Warfare" area, which is fast and furious. Ten trenches have been strategically dug out. Approximately 1.25 metres wide these trenches provide cover for upwards of a metre in height.

Paintball is just part of the Combat Zone experience. Combat Zone invites you to swim in a water hole, bring food for the barbeque, let the younger ones enjoy some Target shooting (the older ones enjoy it too), take a bush walk or say hi to the animals. Your children will enjoy meeting Donut and Alfonze - the donkeys, Penelope - a Kuni Kuni pig, Zorro and Primo - alpacas, Charlie Farlie - sausage dog and official paintball mascot and the chickens and ducks - of which there are many!!!

Argo Rides
This 8x8 amphibius vehicle will go anywhere! Hugo is a Conquest Argo. Two rides are available. A ten minute ride is designed to give you a bit of a thrill! It will take you through river crossings, up some slippery hills and down again, through some native and forestry blocks with some quick 90 degree turns here and there. The second ride takes 20 minutes. Again it is quite an exciting ride which incorporates all of the above but with the added attraction of some breathtaking views of Mercury Bay.

Archery
“Introduction to Archery” is set in a very relaxed atmosphere. They will run through their standard safety rules and then happily give you some “pointers” to get you started. Once you know the basics you can keep score if you like and see how you go against your buddies.

Kidz Quads
These cute little bikes are for children aged 5 to 11 yrs and under 50 kilos. The peanut shell shaped course is designed with the safety of your child in mind. The bikes are turned down so that they cannot exceed a certain speed and they have the added safety features of a “kill switch” on the handle bar and even better still a “leash” like strap which can be held by an adult following behind, which if pulled will stop the bike.

Open 7 days, bookings recommended.
