Dive Kaikoura’s Dive Centre is located in Kaikoura’s main street, right in town, and is a one-stop shop for all your diving needs. They offer a range of PADI dive courses and scuba diving trips around the Kaikoura coast.

Whether newly certified, or an old hand at diving Dive Kaikoura's qualified Divemasters’ can introduce you to some of the more fascinating characters of the underwater world such as nudibranchs, octopus, anemones, sea stars, sponges and of course the crayfish!

Dive Kaikoura keeps the groups small (limit of 6 divers per guide) to ensure that every diver enjoys a safe, comfortable and fun dive!

Bushett Shoals is Kaikoura’s ultimate dive site! Situated 20 miles down the coast, this is diving at its best. The reef is covered in life! The isolated nature of the Bushett Shoals make them one of the best dive sites in the South Island, however divers wishing to dive them need to have some experience and dives under their weight belt to be comfortable. Charters can be arranged year round, for diving/fishing, with a maximum group size of 8 people. The trip runs as a two tank dive, with time to do a little fishing in between. (non-divers welcome)

Dive Kaikoura offers the PADI Hunting and Collecting Speciality on a regular basis. During this course you will learn proper techniques for Underwater Hunting, how to catch and prepare local delicacy’s, as well as learn about our local fishing regulations and how to conserve this resource for future generations.

Water temperatures in Kaikoura range from 14-18 degrees C during the summer. With a good fitting 7mm wetsuit, hood, boots and gloves, Dive Kaikoura will do their best to get you as comfy as possible. Hot drinks and showers are available after your dive.

For an experience you won’t forget in a hurry, spend some time with the NZ Fur Seals with their Seal Swimming Adventure! Get up close and personal with these clowns of the sea! Dive Kaikoura will provide you with all the gear, a friendly and knowledgeable guide and get you out to the best places to swim and play with the seals. Age and experience is no barrier in getting to know these very special animals and this is the perfect marine adventure for everyone.
