Dive Marlborough, a PADI Golden Palm Resort, have over 20 years of experience operating dive tours and training in and around New Zealand's Marlborough Sounds.

Based out of Waikawa Bay, Picton, New Zealand, we operate regular diving trips to the outer Marlborough Sounds, consisting of 2 guided dives and lunch. All trips are limited to 6 divers per guide, helping to insure your satisfaction and safety.

Situated at the top of New Zealands South Island, the Marlborough Sounds are formed by a network of ancient sunken valleys which form a vast waterway consisting of over 3000kms of dive able coastline. Diving in the Marlborough Sounds is diverse. The Inner Sounds offer very calm water a number of shipwrecks, scallop diving and reefs. The Outer Sounds where most of our dives take place have it all, reefs, wrecks, kelp gardens, schools of temperate water fish, invertebrate life, sea caves and so on.

Along with the protection offered by surrounding hills and inlets that cut deep inland, Dive Marlborough can guarantee great diving or snorkeling virtually every day of the year. The Marlborough Sounds offer some of New Zealand's best diving, including one of the world's best wreck dives, the Mikhail Lermontov.

Our boat is fast to get you out to the dive sites quick. She has twin Volvo motors for safety, and twin hulls for stability and a forward cabin so you can get in from the cold. Also on board is a toilet and hot shower. She has plenty of deck space for gearing up and a big dive platform so access in and out of the water is a breeze.

Our scheduled dive tours are Eco Dives and we do not allow hunting and collecting or taking artefacts off the wrecks. We do however run scallop and crayfish dives for groups or individuals that would like to charter our boat.

As well as these daily diving tours, Dive Marlborough also offer PADI Diver training, starting from our very popular 1 day Discover Scuba Diving for the non-diver, and 4 day Learn to Dive courses, plus many other courses right up to and including Instructor level diver training.
