Frogz White Water Sledging operates daily trips from Wanaka, Queenstown and Cromwell. Experienced guides will teach you how to use your sledge and read the river but ultimately YOU ARE IN CONTROL. River purpose-designed and built right here in New Zealand, the sledge is the best way to get up close and personal with the awesome white water in the Southern Lakes region.

With over 14 years in the business of White Water Sledging they offer 2 awesome trips on the mighty Kawarau River which provides New Zealand's largest commercially run White Water and leave you a fully qualified frog with a big grin.

Roaring Meg Half Day
5km of some of NZ's best high volume white water and definitely our most popular trip. The Roaring Meg has something for everybody with big fast flowing rapids, standing waves, boils, whirlpools and finishes with a peaceful flat section to get your breath back and take in the fantastic scenery of the historic Kawarau river. "Like a giant hydro slide through the mountains." An awesome half day out for all ages and abilities. No previous experience required just a bit of water confidence and a 'go for it attitude'.

The Gorge Full Day
The biggest day out on New Zealand White Water. Our Gorge run covers 15km of the spectacular Kawarau River from the infamous 'Chinese Dogleg' rapid right through to the final portage at the cavernous 'Natural Bridge'. This trip has it all with big grade 4 rapids, big grade 6 portages, big gourmet lunch and small group sizes. A full on, full day on the river. No previous experience required but water confidence and a good level of fitness is necessary to complete and enjoy this trip.

Complimentary transport to and from the river, from Wanaka, Queenstown or Cromwell.
