Come and explore the wonderful marine wildlife of the Coromandel with Glass Bottom Boat Whitianga. Enjoy the glass bottom viewing of "Te Whanganui A Hei" Marine reserve. Come watch the awesome marine life up close in the first marine reserve established on the Coromandel Peninsula, Te Whanganui A Hei: (Cathedral Cove).
A snorkeling trail has been set up at the marine reserve to encourage swimmers to explore the marine life. The snorkelling opportunities in Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve are outstanding, especially at Gemstone Bay and the western side of Mahurangi Island. Four marker buoys with information panels depicting which species inhabit each area are anchored from 50 to 165 metres offshore. For example at buoy three, snorkellers can expect to see marblefish, butterfish & red moki hiding in a seaweed city.Seafari II is an aluminium pontoon boat fitted with 2 glass bottom viewing windows. We are Safe Ship Certified and have a full cabin for your comfort.
Your crew are fully trained to ensure your safety and enjoyment whilst on board our 23 foot Stabicraft vessel which are widely used by The Jacques Cousteau Institute for their safety and stability.
