Situated 5 minutes south of the Kaikoura Township is the Kaikoura Golf Club, an 18 hole course of some 5352 metres (5853 yards) set in front of one of the most spectacular mountain backdrops one could wish to see.

Kaikoura's golf course is nestled between the magnificent vista of the Seaward Kaikoura Mountains and the ocean waters of the Pacific Ocean. The golf course offers something for every golfer, from beginner to low handicapper.

Although Kaikoura is one of New Zealand’s most visited locations, our attractive 18 hole links course still offers golf at a leisurely country level without the pressure of busy city courses.

A practice fairway is also available for those wishing to refine their game.

Facilities include club and trundler hire and there are also four golf carts available. The clubhouse is open daily and offers food and refreshments as well as a licensed bar.

It is not essential to book your tee time, however if you wish a preferred time, contact the clubhose manager who will assist in arranging your golf schedule.

The clubhouse is open 7 days a week (except for Christmas day) and operating hours are generally 8.30am to 5.30pm.

A round of golf, while you take in the spectacular views and walk the irrigated fairways of the Kaikoura Golf Course is the ultimate way to wind down after an exciting day of marine mammal adventures.
