Experience genuine New Zealand Maori hospitality with Maori Tours Kaikoura.

We offer an authentic experience full of the spirit of age old knowledge yet entirely of today. It is a boutique tour by mini coach where you will:

• Learn our history and understand how that shapes our fundamental relationship with the environment today
• Visit ancient Pa sites (fortified villages) of pre European days and hear how they were once settled by our ancestors - often in battle
• See the stories the land still tells today
• Explore one of Kaikoura's bush walkways to learn some of the traditional indigenous uses of the trees and plants as food and medicine
• Join in our customs and protocol
• Learn a waiata (song) written especially for this tour

During this adventure you will be served light refreshments and receive a small memento to help remember your Maori Cultural Experience.

Our half day tours depart twice daily at 9:00am and 1:30pm (tours last approximately 3.5 hours).

So join us for a half day of enlightenment and laughter. You will come to understand the spirituality of our people, what it means to be Maori, the way we think and our special way of life.
