Welcome to Marineland of New Zealand, Napier. Located on Napier's sunny Marine Parade, we are the ideal highlight to any holiday with a show, swim, or a tour on which you can touch and feed our dolphin or learn how we look after sick and injured penguins.
Every day except Christmas Day, 10:30am and 2:00pm is showtime. A chance to see, not only our dolphin and seals in action, but also learn about them. Throughout the show we point out the features of the animals and tell you about them. Bookings are not needed for the show, just turn up ( best to be at least 20 minutes early in the summer to get a good seat ). If it's raining, we still do the show. The top half of the grandstand is sheltered from the rain for your convenience. The show usually lasts between 30 and 40 minutes ( depending on how well behaved the animals are ), and is followed by the feeding of the California Sea Lions, New Zealand Fur Seals, and Otters. A chance to see the non-show animals close up and learn even more. The feeding of the animals, and a visit to the Lilliput Model Railway is included in the show price.
Marineland offers a chance for visitors to get into the pool and swim with their Common Dolphin. Dolphin Swims is a chance to see Kelly the dolphin up close. Don't worry about the water temp, we have a wide range of wetsuits to keep you warm. The hirage of a wetsuit, mask, snorkel, and flippers are extra to the swim price. Children under 10 years old MUST have an adult swimming with them. Limit of two people per session.

Comments / Reviews of Marineland of New Zealand
New Zealand's last surviving captive dolphin, Kelly, died on September 10th at Marineland at the age of 38 after a short illness. Sadly the closure of Marineland, the first port of call for hundreds of thousands of tourists who come to Napier each year, now seems imminent.
