Step back in time and enjoy the unspoilt beauty of the Raukumara Forest with Maungaroa Station Horse Treks.

We have a variety of treks designed to make riding an enjoyable experience for all levels of ability. Our experienced guides encourage even the most reluctant riders to take the reins with confidence.

Our horse treks take you through beautiful native bush, crystal clear rivers, farmland and hill tracks with breathtaking views.

We welcome individuals or groups of people with their own horses.

Accomodation is available in a fully self contained Lodge. The Lodge sleeps twelve people - ten single beds and one double. A great place for a fun weekend away. Swim in the crystal clear Kereu River, visit the awesome waterfalls and stroll through the historic Kahikatea Bush. Take a picnic lunch and explore the huge areas of bush and farmland. Everything is supplied - Just bring your food.
