Stuart Landsborough’s Puzzling World is a world unique attraction specialising in puzzling eccentricity. For over 30 years this remarkable business has entertained and amazed visitors of all ages, attracted to this beautiful part of the world. Offering the world's first "modern-styled" Great Maze, incredible Illusion Rooms, a Puzzle Centre/Café, large Gift Shop and eccentric architecture and installations. Puzzling World is possibly the most photographed attraction in New Zealand.

Located in the heart of the breathtaking Southern Lakes region of the South Island of New Zealand, Puzzling World is set amongst 7 acres of rolling lawns, trees and gardens at the entrance to Wanaka, 2kms from the lakefront.

When you arrive at Puzzling World you will immediately notice the crazy architecture. One building has four eccentric Tumbling Towers. Another one is called the Leaning Tower of Wanaka. This tower has been pulled out of the ground and is balanced on one corner at an unbelievable 53 degrees! The Leaning Tower of Pisa only leans six degrees.

We developed the first of the world's modern-style mazes. Designed to be a fascinating and enjoyable puzzle. 1.5km of passages - allow 30 minutes to one hour to achieve. Emergency doors for those with limited time, patience or energy! Adults, this maze is a lot of fun. It is designed to intrigue people of ALL ages.

Each room is an amazing illusion in its own right and will question your sense of perception! On entering you pass through the Hologram Hall. As there is nothing quite like this in the world we can only assure you that you will find our collection of amazing 3-D holograms fascinating!

Open every day from 8.30am. Last admission 5:30pm in Summer, 5pm in Winter.
(Christmas Day 10am to 3pm)
