Roundhill Ski Area is situated in the heart of the Mackenzie Country, where you can enjoy beautiful views of Mount Cook, Lake Tekapo and the Mackenzie Basin. This provides the perfect setting for a relaxing day skiing or snowboarding on our gentle, undulating hill.

Roundhill Ski Area: the views, the sunshine, the wide undulating terrain, and the relaxed atmosphere create a wonderful environment for you and your family.

From 2007, Roundhill will feature a terrain park with plenty of variety for all freestyle skiiers and snowboarders. There will be jumps plus 1 double rail, 1 flat down box, 1 rainbow box and 3 flat boxes of varying length and width.

Don't have your own equipment? No worries! Roundhill has over 350 sets of ski and snowboard equipment for all ages. Our friendly staff will assist you in all areas when fitting equipment — and at the end of the day, we'll even help you take your boots off!

Whether in snow or sunshine, there's plenty of seating at our café. We offer great coffee, warm snacks, a complete range of non-alcoholic beverages, cold snacks, and are fully licensed. All this with breath-taking panoramic views of Lake Tekapo.

Roundhill is 32km from Tekapo, along the eastern shore of the lake & up our access road to the base area of 1360m
