Seahorse World Aquarium in Picton, is conveniently located within 100m of the Interisland Ferry Terminal and is sure to be a fun experience for both young and old. Visitors to the aquarium will learn about New Zealand marine life and even interact with some in the Touch Pool.

Seahorse World is an invaluable resource and is much admired. Come and learn about the many and varied aspects of New Zealand's unique marine eco-systems. One of the largest collections of New Zealand marine life is presented for you, up close and personal.

The seahorses are the stars with 8 tanks containing hundreds of New Zealand seahorses, from tiny 'ponies' to fully-grown adults. Then there is the shark pool, crayfish, 6 metre giant squid (preserved), octopus, commercial species, rays, rocky shore display, interactive touch pool, education area for video and reading, many highly informative wall displays and a magnificent collection of marine fossils.
