Serious Fun River Surfing, the original river surfing company takes you on a white water adventure that you won't easily forget. Armed with flippers and a bodyboard you will surf the mighty white water of the Kawarau River in Queenstown.
The trip begins in calm water with an introduction to the equipment and instructions on the basics of riverboarding technique.
The infamous Chinese Dog Leg section graded 2 – 4, is named after New Zealand’s longest commercial run rapid, surrounded by beautiful scenery. It is also home to the regions best surf spots where we stop and teach you how to surf standing waves.
The Roaring Meg section is a continuous 6km section graded 2-3 because of its fast flowing, mind blowing intensity. Can’t get enough? We go and do the run again for free!!!
100% Safety record since 1989 – Maximum of 10 clients between 2 guides.
Departures twice daily; morning and afternoon. Both 4 hour trips with 1 ½ to 2 hours water time.
