Splash Palace in Invercargill is one of the premier aquatic facilities in New Zealand. With a unique southern costal theme the centre is a fun place to visit. There are few communities in the world that can boast an indoor aquatic centre of this size, within walking distance of the CBD, close to a large selection of motels and parks.

The facilitiy includes a 50m x 8 lane sports pool with a bulkhead, a leisure pool with waves and sprays, a tot's pool and a learners pool. There is also a water slide, spa pool, steam room and a cafe all indoors with convenient off street car parking.

Splash Palace offers an exciting School Holiday Programme for kids. Activities include: aquathon race against the Southland Stags, Black Twister waterslide competition, Octo Obstacle challenge (10.5m inflatable water obstacle and slide), Big Bomb competetion, treasure hunt, Torpedo Topple (20m inflatable water torpedo), waterslide donuts and the leisure pool raft. Other activites include diving and playing on the waterslide.

Splash Palace's Swim School provides quality and affordable swimming lessons. The Swim School's aim is to provide confidence for children in and around water and to advance pupils swimming abiliites to a level where they can participate in aquatic sports and other recreational activities of their choice. 'In the water teaching' for babies to beginners is part of the unique programme offered by the Swim School's qualified, professional and dedicated swim teachers. Small class sizes ensure individual tuition. At the completion of each swimming course participants will receive an achievement certificate.

Children under 8 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent or caregiver 16 years or over, and all children under 5 years MUST be accompanied by a parent or cargiver in the water and within arms reach at all times.
