Surfing is synonymous with Gisborne, so if you are a visitor to Gisborne your stay could be deemed incomplete without being able to tell your friends that, "Yeah, I caught a wave or two in Gizzy. I went surfing with Frank!". And Locals this is a chance for you too to paddle out and give it a go.

Frank is a great coach, NZ Level 1 Certified and is a living example of love what you do and do what you love. You would be hard pressed to find any surf coach more motivated and enthusiastic than Frank.

All ages, shapes and sizes are catered for. Surfboards and wetsuits are provided and there are no more than four students per session.

Frank and his team also take surf tours for surfers. Frank and his guides pride themselves in local knowledge of three of New Zealand's surfing hot spots. Between them they have Raglan, Gisborne and Taranaki wired. SWF can go mellow or hard core. Let the team know what kind of wave you are looking for and they will do their best to get you there. Of our three destinations there are at least 35 different surf breaks to choose from. We cater to long and short boarders, guns to novices, any age, families, groups and individuals. A SWF surf tour is an unforgettable experience as well as a fabulous introduction to the beautiful and un-crowded waves of New Zealand.
