Volcanic Air Safaris is based at the Rotorua City lakefront on the shores of Lake Rotorua, and offers an extensive range of scenic flights by Helicopter or Floatplane. They provide the opportunity to view from the skies the spectacular natural features of Rotorua, Mount Maunganui, White Island, and the Central North Island region.

The main theme of their published tours is ‘volcanic’, focusing on the many crater lakes and geothermal attractions of the area, with specific emphasis on the dormant volcano of Mt Tarawera, the geothermal activity of Hells Gate and New Zealand’s most active (offshore) volcano White Island.

Volcanic Air Safaris delight in providing you with an experience, which offers, varied in-flight product, exceptional service & a team of highly qualified pilots for excursions throughout the Central North Island.

With such a diverse range of aircraft including either the Executive Squirrel or Robinson 44 Clipper II Helicopter, 2 x Cessna Floatplanes and unique to New Zealand, the de Haviland Otter Floatplane, Volcanic Air Safaris can provide a total capacity of 28 passengers. With prior notice greater numbers can be achieved.
