Just past the the northern tip of Coromandel Peninsula on a 2000 acre farm lies the D.O.C (Department of Conservation) Fletcher Bay recreation reserve. Fletcher Bay is a quiet sheltered bay facing north north east towards Square top Island close by and Great Barrier Island in the distance.
The backpackers accommodation at Fletchers Bay consists of 4 bedrooms with 2 bunk beds in each, giving a total of 16 beds available. The bottom sheet and pillow is provided, you just need your sleeping bag or own linen.
Features and facilities of Fletchers Bay Backpackers includes:
- Full kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge
- HOT showers
- Clothes washing machine, no dryer but clothes line outside
- Spacious communal lounge with table & chairs
- Veranda with outdoor seating

You'll find a selection of books and magazines to read, and the odd game or two, that have been kindly left by previous visitors. Feel free to leave a book or magazine yourself, and let someone enjoy what you have read.
