Mountain View Backpackers is a traditional, homestyle backpackers hostel, offering quality budget accommodation with modern facilities to the traveller who is looking for a welcoming and personal experience when visiting Wanaka, NZ.

Our small and cosy 30 bed backpackers is centrally located in the heart of Wanaka. Mountain View Backpackers is only a few minutes walk to the shores of stunning Lake Wanaka. The attractive village of Wanaka has a wide selection of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and entertainment as well as offering easy access to a great choice of outdoor activities.

When you stay at our backpackers in Wanaka, you’ll enjoy the comforts of home in our newly renovated character house. You will meet our friendly, local hostel team who will share their experiences and knowledge of Wanaka and the surrounding area. Mountain View Backpackers offers you warm and cosy double rooms, dormitory rooms (5 or 6 in a room) or a shared room (4 in a room) to stay in.
