Neptune’s Backpackers is a beautiful historic hotel in Greymouth, South Island, New Zealand. It was built in 1905 and has been superbly restored in a nautical theme. Visitors cannot help but be impressed. The views from the balcony are breathtaking especially during the wonderful West Coast sunsets. Neptunes is 2 minutes walk from the town centre where restaurants, shopping and unique art and craft shops are available.

Within the wild west coast there are many things to see, do, explore, and enjoy. This area with its wonderful walks, beautiful lakes, rugged coastline offers a unique history. Whilst that is so, Greymouth, the biggest town on the West Coast, also affords the traveller all the services required.

Rooms are bright and spacious. All beds are fully made-up with sheets and duvets. There are no bunks - all new individual beds with bed-side reading lamp. Most rooms have a washbasin, and double rooms have a queen-sized bed. Self-controlled heaters in all rooms for individual comfort.
