Situated on the shores of spectacular Lake Manapouri, New Zealand most scenic lake, and only a stones throw from the Fiordland National Park / Te Wahipounamu - South West New Zealand World Heritage Area, Possum Lodge is an ideal setting to spend time enjoying some of New Zealand's most inspiring scenery.

True lakefront accommodation in Fiordland, Possum Lodge offers guests a unique opportunity to wander from their accommodation to the shores of Lake Manapouri or the Waiau River without having to cross a road.

The views across Lake Manapouri sweep from the imposing Hunter Mountains, with the spectacular Monument in the foreground, to the snow capped Cathedral Peaks, and further north to the renowned tramping destination, the Kepler Mountains. The Waiau River offers sheltered waters for kayakers and canoeists, and has a healthy population of trout for keen fisherpeople.

We have a range of room types including double, twin or bunk rooms, with shared kitchen, bathroom and lounge facilities. Family or tour groups can be catered for with any combination of room types depending on your needs.
