Chocolate Chip Biscuit

This is THE BEST recipe for biscuits! Easy and delicious. Sure to be a favourite.

Prep time:   10 minutes
Cook time:   10 minutes
Servings:   2 dozen biscuits

Ingredients:
1 cup of butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/4 cups plain white flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease an oven tray.

2. Cream the butter , white and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs into the mix one at a time, and then stir in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt, then stir into creamed mixture.

3. Fold in the chocolate chips. Place rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared baking tray.

4. Bake until light brown, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes and then transfer to rack to cool.

*This recipe can be adapted to your tastes. Try adding chopped macadamia and white chocolate chips for a more gourmet biscuit!

    Love these! And Master 4 helps me make them.
    I love that it is such a good quantity and do half as per recipe and add a little cocoa to the second lot for something different.

    I thought I better try this recipe since there were so many positive comments, and yes it's a winner! This recipe is very easy, I think the kids would even enjoy making this one. No baking powder required rebecca.
